Well, it may have been a horrible race but it was a lovely winner! £1560 profit on Toon, taking my profit for the day to £5260.

There is a short price favourite running in the 9.00 at dundulk, so am going to look for ew value with Sutherland Star at 16/1 – £200 E.W

For the last race at wolves I am going for Hellbender at 10/1 – £250 E.W seems a solid ew bet.

Great Charm has got a really good mention from his trainer – at 16/1 it is worth a second bet in the race £200 EW

Just got to my pc – what a horrible race – am going to have a £200 EW on Tongalooma at 13/2 in the 8.50.

I am going to look at the last couple of races but having had a crazy day I am not looking to rush completing tonight.

Kings Gambit was disapointing, meaning £1600 down on the day, unfortunity I have not been able to update the blog on the fly as normal – as I have been watching the markets and tending to my daughters whims!!

In the 2.55 at Lingfield, I followed the favourite Sahara Kingdom, with an £800 win at 6/4 – He come 1st for a £1200 profit.

Next up was the 3.20 at York, in a big field I followed the favourite again – at 11/2 it offered a solid each way opportunity £500 e.w – It ran well to win pulling in a nice £3300 profit and a £2900 day profit.

In the 3.40 I followed favourite Nudge and Nurdle with £800 at 6/4 unfortunity it could only manage 2nd, profit back down to £2100

My next was the 3.55, where again I followed the favourite Walvis Bay – £800 win at 2/1 – this time it got home first for £1600 profit – taking the day to £3700 profit – and getting close to my challenge total target…

There is night racing at wolves and a couple of races at lingfield and I hope to finish this off tonight..

With my first two ew shots coming nowhere its now time to try to kick on, the 2.55 at york has some nice types running, but I am going to side with Kings Gambit, the trainer is confident of a good run and at 7/2 looks a nice price. £800 win.

My daughter was running a temperature with sickness yesterday which meant a day away from the markets, while she is still off school, I am able to put in a couple of hours in today – hopefully to get to my target and complete the challenge……

Havnt had an opportunity to have too much of a look at the markets yet, however as I will be backing on a race-by-race strategy I have plenty of time to look at the first few races.

In the 2.10 Almadaa runs – I have backed this previously and want to have a little interest at its 16/1 price – £200 E.W

Great day in the markets, got off to a great start with a 40/1 winner all be it with only a small interest, but that gave me the profit to allow me to open up alittle – added to the fact that I picked up a couple of nice priced winners, today shows how quickly profits can add up.

With my last two bets placed, I was guaranteed £4000 profit regardless of results, however success and my profits jumped to over £10,000 – that is a significant swing, on this occassion the swing was in my favour.

Mindset of gambling is key in my opinion – having got into profit early on, the effect was every other investment was 100% risk free to me, had my last two bets gone down, yes I would of been annoyed that I didnt build on the day, however the realities are it would still been a good day.

With my day target smashed I am going to call it a day, and hopefully get this challenge wrapped up with one final push tommorrow.

The best possible result for me Jim Bob’s Girl won well showing me a £800 profit, quickly followed up by Jacarado at a great price, generating me a £4800 profit.

Add this to my £6098 and its a massive £11,698 profit on the day, and my target to reach £40K has been acheived, with a bit to spare..

Jacarado has been mentioned by his trainer and at 8/1 hoping for a solid e.w bet £500 E.W.

I will see where I stand after this race and jim bobs result, should they both lose then its £4K profit for the day and I will proberly call it a day.

Two 2nds and my profits for the day stands at £6098. Jim Bob’s Girl is solid in the market and at 8/11 I am going to have £1100 on it in the 3.50 exeter.

3.30 Towcester – The trainer has said that he is taking advantage of his horses novice status and at 7/2 seems a value bet – £500 win Pilgrims Lane
